The Car MTE has been designed and rigorously tested with a number of UK police forces, enabling officers to practice drills and procedures to simulate working with both police and civilian vehicles. The PVC/polyfoam Car MTE provides a stimulating learning environment where officers can get hands-on with their scenario-based training with a low risk of injury. Both the side doors and roof top have observational windows for easy supervision. The design focuses on the finer details, with the door angle, footwell, seatbelts, and size replicating those of a standard hatchback for a realistic training environment. We have maintained elements of our modular design for the Car MTE by changing the back seats into a bench that can be used in other Modular Training Environments MTE such as trains, planes, and buses. This makes the Car MTE a cost-effective training tool for the emergency services.
